Today’s post bought a competition entry which must be a record. Two poems from a 93-year-old rest home resident! If I reached 93 and could still write poems I’d be very pleased with myself. Our youngest poet entered in our 2015 competition, so far, is a 6-year-old girl. How marvellous is that!
Competition entries have been flowing in which is great news. I hope you’ll take some time over the holiday season to either sift through some of your unpublished poems or even write some new poems and send them off before the end of February.
It’s a quiet Christmas Eve in our house with Chris and Phoebe in Melbourne, and Robbie in Brisbane. I’ve been out watering the garden tonight which is not a task I envisaged a couple of weeks ago. We were fully expecting a white Christmas!
Wishing everyone a safe, joyous and relaxing holiday season.
Ruth
