Today a very special competition entry arrived in the post. It was from Hokitika and the very first competition entry we’ve received this year from the South Island’s West Coast. I was beginning to think there were no poets left over the other side of the Main Divide! There are only 8 more postal deliveries and then the competition will be closed. There’s still time to enter but hurry, hurry.
I called in to the Otago University Bookshop today and collected the third prize ($125.00 worth of Bookseller’s vouchers) and the UBS best unplaced Dunedin poet’s prize (a $75.00 UBS voucher).
And if you’re wondering about the first two prizes, the Booksellers vouchers for $175 and $150 are in hand.
Sincere thanks to UBS and Booksellers NZ for their continued support of the Poems in the Waiting Room poetry competitions.
