In Memory of Bub Bridger 1924 – 2009

As I sit down to update this blog I’ve just heard that Bub Bridger has died. Bub and her publishers, Mallinson Rendel, kindly gave permission for Wild Daisies to be included in the summer edition of Poems in the Waiting Room. Listen to the Checkpoint programme on Radio New Zealand, December 8th, and hear a recording of Bub reading two of her poems.

All but 200 of the 2000 pink cards have been delivered and posted to medical waiting rooms and rest homes. Once the Oamaru and Mosgiel cards are delivered we’ll be having a short break before finalising the autumn card. For the autumn edition we’re looking at printing 2500 copies as we underestimated the demand for the summer cards! Apologies to the rest homes and waiting rooms who didn’t receive the full quota this time. Normal service will resume in March!

Best wishes for a Happy and Safe Festive Season to all our readers.
