Warming Words

I’m hoping the winter poems are bringing some warmth to this cold season. 1900 winter poetry cards have been delivered to waiting rooms and rest homes in Dunedin, North, Central and South Otago and parts of Southland.

After sending cards to Bluff and Stewart Island we thought why stop there? So our winter and spring cards will be in the large mailbag on the next flight down to Scott Base.

We’re continuing to apply for funding to cover our printing and postage costs. Our long term aim is to be able to offer poetry cards to every New Zealand rest home and medical waiting room.

Poets from the USA, the UK, Samoa, Australia, Dunedin, Central Otago, and Hamilton have all contributed to the spring edition. Look out for a bright yellow card appearing in waiting rooms and rest homes early September.
