Poems in the Waiting Room – the Braille edition
Lyvie from the RNZFB has just emailed me this photo of the first Braille edition of Poems in the Waiting Room. The poetry booklets are available to RNZFB members as contracted or uncontracted braille and etext. Please contact the RNZFB or check out their website for details as to how to access these poetry booklets.
A huge thank you to the Accessible Format Production Team at the RNZFB who have turned an idea into reality and to The Lion Foundation who made the idea a possibility by funding this first edition. Hopefully it will be the first of many!
In 2010 we included To all backward bulbs: an outburst and Life’s Little Indignities in our Spring card and because they were so well received I decided to pop them into this Braille edition replacing Wordsworth’s daffodils and the children’s poem. In future we intend to use the same poems in both editions of Poems in the Waiting Room.
